【Padmakumara Mudra :】

Place the right hand before the right side of the chest, with the palm facing outward and fingers together, pointed up. Now bend the thumb and middle finger so that their tips meet, forming a circle. (This is the Dharma-teaching Mudra.)
Place the left hand before the left side of the chest, with the palm facing inward and fingers together, pointed up. Now bend the thumb and index finger so that their tips meet, forming a circle. Then bend the middle and ring finger in to touch the center of the palm. The small finger remains pointed up. (This is the Lotus-holding Mudra.)

【Padmakumara Dharmalakṣaṇa Brief Introduction】

”Padmakumara (Lotus Child) ” wears a five-buddha jeweled crown (Dharma King Crown) with his right hand presenting a dharma-teaching mudra, and left hand, a lotus-holding mudra. He is smiling and sitting majestically in the vajra (full lotus) position on a great white lotus throne. He appears majestic and dignified and his body radiates the brilliance of hundreds of jewels.

”Lotus,” rising uncontaminated from filthy mud, represents purity.
”Child” represents innocence and the purity of the dharmakaya.

At the age of 26, the Golden Mother of the Jade Pond opened the divine eye of Living Buddha Lian-sheng Sheng-yen Lu. On that same night, his spirit travelled out of his body to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss where he saw the brilliant and splendid ”White Maha Padmakumara” and he heard a voice in his ear saying: You are the returning ”White Maha Padmakumara.”
”Padmakumara” is a 13th stage buddha whose origin is in Mahavairocana Buddha, who is together with Buddha Locana. The eyes of Buddha Locana transformed into ”Maha Twin Lotus Ponds.” The primary deity of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is ”Amitabha.” ”Padmamukara” is the primary deity of the Maha Twin Lotus Ponds. Amitabha Buddha transformed into Padmakumara, and Padmakumara then emanated ”Living Buddha Lian-sheng Sheng-yen Lu.”

The White Maha Padmakumara is the emanation of the ”All Buddha Eyes Great Vajra Auspicious Heart Deity of All Buddha Mothers,” whereas Buddha Locana is the emanation of the ”Five Directions Buddhas” that is, she is emanated by Mahavairocana, the primordial central buddha. ”Padmakumara” is the general name given to all ”18 Lotus Reverends” of Maha Twin Lotus Ponds. White Maha Padmakumara is the highest of the ”18 Lotus Reverends.” In addition to the 18 Lotus Reverends there are countless more ”Padmakumaras” relatives.
Therefore, the lineage of True Buddha School is: Vairocana – Buddha Locana – Amitabha – Padmakumara – Living Buddha Lian-sheng Sheng-yen Lu.
Amitabha, Golden Mother of the Jade Pond, and Ksitigarbha are the three principal deities of ”Living Buddha Lian-sheng Sheng-yen Lu.” In other words, he is the emanation of the body of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, the speech of Amitabha Buddha, and the mind of Golden Mother of the Jade Pond. These three transformations of body, speech, and mind are the combined emanation of the three kayas.

”Padmakumara’s” extraordinary and marvelous background and level of attainment are ultimate and unsurpassed. For examples:

In the era of King Da Weide, ”Lotus Child Baoyi” and ”Lotus Child Baoshang” guided ”King Da Weide” to the abode of ”Golden Light Buddha.” Through the teaching of ”Golden Light Buddha,” King Da Weide attained buddhahood. King Da Weide was a previous incarnation of ”Shakyamuni.” Hence, ”Padmakumara” was the guiding teacher of ”Shakyamuni.”
The full name of the first Buddha mentioned in ”High King Sutra” should actually be ”Pure Light Padmakumara Secret Buddha.” Therefore, ”Pure Light Secret Buddha” is ”Padmakumara.”
The ”Mahamudra” lineage transmission is: from the ”Primordial Buddha” to ”Lotus Child Baoyi,” another Padmakumara.
Part of the lineage of the ”Great Perfection Dhama” was from Padmasambhava to ”Trisong Deutsen” and ”Yeshe Tsogyal.” ”Padmasambhava,” was, in reality, ”lotus born” meaning that he himself was also a ”Padmakumara.” Living Buddha Lian-sheng Sheng-yen Lu is also the emanation of ”Padmakumara.”
One of the important sutras of True Buddha School is ”True Buddha Sutra,” which is the direct revelation of the realm of the Western Pure Land of Utmost Bliss, the 18 Padmakumaras, and Maha Twin Lotus Ponds. The sutra emerged spontaneously from the comprehension of Living Buddha Lian-sheng upon his entering into the ocean of the Vairocana Buddha nature and the manifestation of his illuminating heart.
In cave 249 of China’s Dunhuang Caves one finds Shakyamuni Buddha, Amitabha Buddha, Maitreya Buddha, Golden Mother of the Jade Pond, Padmakumara, and other buddhas. It is thus clear that the position of Padmakumara is very high.
Cave 314 is actually given the name ”Padmakumara.” The book regarding Dunhuang published by Lanzhou University has a special section called ”Research into Padmakumara.”
Many documents presented in the book of ”The Origin of Padmakumara” edited by dharma brother Chang Mingcong of Faming Chapter of True Buddha School prove the true existence of ”Padmakumara.” Padmakumara is authentic and unfabricated.
For a hundred years scholars in academia, art, archaeology, and Buddhism have considered that buddhism originated in northwest India (present day Pakistan) and that statues and carvings of Shakyamuni (pre-enlightenment) and Maitreya have their artistic origin in the the Grecian style.
In 1990, ”Volume 2 of Gandharan Art: The World of the Buddha” edited by Isao Kurita published by Nigensha Publishing Co., Ltd in Japan reveals that there were not only statues of Shakyamuni (pre- enlightenment) and Maitreya carved in this (Grecian) style, but also statues of ”Lotus Hand Bodhisattva” (Lotus Bodhisattva, who is actually Padmakumara). This shocked the whole world!
Later, ”Lotus Hand Bodhisattva” and ”Guanyin Bodhisattva” also became the original source of the northern transmission of Mahayana, Sutrayana, and Vajrayana statues (refer to pages 78 and 79 of ”The Origin of Padmakumara” for details.)
The earliest remaining relics of China’s historical Buddha statues are ”Padmakumara,” who was referred to at the time as ”Lotus Child Xianguang.” These remains were found together with King of the East and Queen Mother of the West on a Han Dynasty portrait tombstone in Yinan, Shandong around the year 150 ~ 170 (refer to page 104 of ”The Origin of Padmakumara” for details.)
During the period of the Kingdom of Xi Xia (Great White High Kingdom) three of the emperors, Jingzong, Renzong, and Modi were emanations of ”Padmakumara.” Great White High Kingdom was established by White Maha Padmakumara as ”High King Guanyin Kingdom” For this reason, the Kingdom of Xi Xia was called ”Great White High Kingdom.”
In the most ancient sutra in India, the ”Mahabharata (摩訶婆羅多 in Chinese),” ”White Maha Padmakumara” is mentioned. The first king of Shambhala was ”Manjusri Bodhisattva.” The second king of Shambala was ”White Lotus King.”

”Padmakumara Guru Yoga” is truly supreme and inconceivable. When one attains spiritual union in Padmakumara Guru Yoga, one attains spiritual union with the ”Padmakumara.” Spiritual union with the Padmakumara is spiritual union with Amitabha Buddha; Amitabha Buddha, Buddha Locana; and Buddha Locana, Vairocana Buddha. Hence, to gain spiritual union in Padmakumara Guru Yoga is to gain spiritual union with Vairocana Buddha!
Any person can cultivate the practice of Padmakumara and any person can have attainment in this practice!

Living Buddha Lian Sheng Lu Sheng-yen has transmitted numerous ”Padmakumara practices,” including ”Root Guru Yoga.” ”Padmakumara Personal Deity Practice,” ”Five Great Attainments Dharma,” ”The Fastest Spiritual Union Deliverance Practice,” ”True Buddha Rice Offering Visualization Practice,” ”Vajra Master Lian-sheng Hair Practice,” ”The Padmakumara Fortune Bestowing Practice,” etc. ; ”Padmakumara Yoga” is ”Purity Restoration Practice.” It is extremely important!

Padmakumara has descended into the human world for the purpose of assisting Amitabha Buddha of the Western Pure Land of Utmost Bliss. Thus, Living Buddha Lian Sheng Lu Sheng-yen resides in the human world.

Due to various predestined reasons Living Buddha Lian-sheng has received teachings from many masters. He was prophesied by Shakyamuni Buddha, and Amitabha Buddha entrusted him with the mission of salvation. Maitreya Buddha bestowed on him the Red Crown and Guru Padmasambhava taught him the Vajrayana. It is due to this great dharma affinity that the era has come for the deliverance of beings by Padmakumara. The great dharma rain is falling and the great conch of the dharma teachings is being blown. The huge dharma drum resounds and the great dharma teachings are being spread.
